Who We Embroider For

Why Utah Runs on Embroidery

Between the outdoor industry, the resorts, and a large professional services sector, the Salt Lake market leans harder on embroidered apparel than most.

Outdoor & Gear Brands

Salt Lake City sits at the center of a dense outdoor-equipment industry — ski, splitboard, climbing, and backcountry brands built along the Wasatch. Embroidered hats and softshells are the category's default branded apparel.

Resort & Hospitality Teams

Staff working the canyons and Park City need uniforms that read professional in a lodge and hold up on a mountain. Embroidery survives conditions that printed logos don't.

Corporate & Tech Offices

Embroidered polos and quarter-zips are the standard for client-facing teams across the Silicon Slopes corridor — a step up from a printed tee for sales, events, and executive gifting.

Trades & Field Services

Contractors, HVAC, landscaping, and auto shops across the valley use embroidered work shirts and caps because thread doesn't crack, peel, or fade the way a print eventually will.

The Method

When Embroidery Is the Right Call

Embroidery is stitched, not printed — which changes both what it's good at and what it can't do.

Best For

  • Hats, beanies, and caps
  • Polos, quarter-zips, and jackets
  • Staff uniforms and workwear
  • Bags and accessories
  • A premium, long-wearing finish

Consider Another Method

  • Very large full-front or full-back designs
  • Photographic or gradient artwork
  • Fine detail and very small lettering
  • Lightweight performance fabrics that pucker

Send your logo and we'll tell you what it'll look like stitched — or call (916) 469-5410 and we'll walk through it.

Good to Know

Salt Lake City Embroidery FAQ

Do you have an embroidery shop in Salt Lake City?

No. Conquer Printing runs a single shop in North Highlands, California. We embroider and finish every Utah order in-house, then ship it — orders typically arrive on the Wasatch Front in about 1–2 business days.

How is embroidery priced?

By stitch count, not by the number of thread colors. A design up to 4,000 stitches runs $6.10 per piece at 12–36 pieces and drops to $3.35 at 289–499. A left-chest logo usually lands in the 4,000–8,000 stitch range; a full back is significantly more.

What is a digitizing fee?

Embroidery machines need a stitch file, not an image. Converting your logo into that file is digitizing, billed at $3.00 per 1,000 stitches. It's a one-time cost — reorders of the same design don't pay it again.

Can you embroider hats we already have?

Yes, we can run customer-supplied goods. Hat fronts carry a small surcharge ($0.35 per piece, or $0.45 for bucket and ski hats) because of the specialized hooping involved. Call us before shipping goods so we can confirm they'll run cleanly.

Embroidery or screen printing — which should we pick?

Embroidery for hats, polos, jackets, bags, and anything that needs a premium, durable finish. Screen printing for high-volume t-shirts and hoodies with larger, bolder artwork. Embroidery costs more per piece but reads as higher-end and effectively never wears out.

How detailed can our logo be?

Thread has real limits — very small text and fine detail don't reproduce well. Send your logo and we'll tell you honestly whether it needs simplifying for the size you want, before anything goes into production.
